'"All For One" is more than just the Xavier University brand, it is also the phrase that has inspired J. P. Macura's playing style. The 6-foot 5 guard out of Minnesota plays the game with a passion that I have never seen before. It's almost as if every single loose ball has his name written on it. Macura's energy on the court coupled with some elite trash talking has earned him the nickname of "Dennis the Menace" during his time at Xavier.
Although he has only played the game professionally for 3 years, he has already proven to be a reliable and consistent player. Macura has managed to score in double digits twenty five times in his last thirty seven games while having a usage rating of only 20%. He has also shown that he has the tools to play in the new age of basketball, as is evidenced by his outstanding three point attempt rate of 62.7% this season. Macura has slowly but surely developed himself into a high quality catch-and-shoot guard with an impressive defensive IQ. Over the years he has improved his closeout defense and has had great success in forcing the ball out of the opposing guards' hands faster than they would have wanted to. One of the things that I love the most about him is that he contributes as much on the stat sheet as he does off of it. The effort and hustle that he displays are immeasurable. Additionally, he is a positive influence in the locker room and engages with the community like no other player would. It should come as no surprise that J. P. has become a fan favourite in nearly every city that he has played in.

Tune in to my exclusive interview with J. P. Macura below where we talk about his time in Turkey, expectations from the upcoming season, life as an overseas ball player and so much more (this interview was taken prior to the start of the 2021-22 LBA Serie A season) :
